With video games almost wiped off the map, Nintendo came up with a system and console to help get the industy back on the map, it did so with Super Mario Brothers for the new Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985.

King Koopa, the evil turtle/dinosaur hybrid, has terrorized the Mushroom Kingdom and taken it's Princess (Princess Toadstool) hostage. Mario must battle through eight worlds to find her and save her and the Mushroom Kingdom from this tyrant.
